Camp Possibilities Fundraiser

Here is something to roar about!  You can eat to your heart’s content and support Camp Possibilities at the same time.  Michelle Korbert, who has spoken to our club several times, is heading up this event and needs our help to raise scholarship money for next year’s diabetic children.

The attached flyer tells you all the details.  We’d like to have two tables from our club.  You can send your checks right to Michelle, but mark them Lions Table and let me know also that you have signed up.  Should be a fun night!

Conrad DePinto Golf Tournament

The Bel Air Lions Foundation Conrad DePinto Golf Tournament was a big success on September 11.    At the beginning of the tournament, all took a moment of silence to remember those that perished in the tragedy of 9/11.

We had 64 golfers that enjoyed the great course and hospitality of the Winter’s Run Golf Club.   Special thanks to the many Lions and other volunteers that came out to make the day run smooth, including Eileen Mosier, Judy Thompson, Lions Phil Raub, Bob Fritschi, George McIntire, Dave Ellis, Sandy Schiller, Jim Szachta, Ken Spoerl.   Also thanks to the Foundation treasurer, Lion Harold Boccia and Lions Wayne Dudeck, Gene Wlock, Fred Buckel, Colleen Walker-Good, Mark Wilson, Perry Thompson and Bobbie Whitlock for all of their behind the scenes work and contributions to the effort.   Funds raised at this event will support many Community Service Scholarships next spring to students at our local High Schools.  It was a lot of work but a fun event.
