The Bel Air Lions once again supported the annual Festival for the Arts at Shamrock Park in Bel Air on Sunday September 17. The Festival annually draws over 350 vendors from the mid-Atlantic region and hundreds of patrons. The Lions, along with a total of nearly 100 students from Bel Air High School, worked in a morning shift to help vendors unload and move in; and then an afternoon shift to help vendors move out.
Lion Todd Boyle organized the volunteers for the event.
Lion Larry Shanahan led a team of 8 lions to support the Annual Community Collection Day at Bel Air High School from 8 AM – 1 PM.
Items collected are refurbished, reused or recycled.
Lions Colleen Walker, Wayne Dudeck, Will Schneider, Bob Grue, Perry Thompson, Dave Ellis and Dave Guzewich were present to direct traffic, and collect eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cell phones.

The HCAA’s mission is to help all Harford County individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs. We support and encourage them on their path to self-sufficiency.
On Saturday, September 9th, Lions attended the Bel Air Farmers Market from 7-11 AM.
Lions Dave Ellis, Wayne Dudek, Colleen Walker, and Dave Guzewich were on hand to promote Lionism, collect donations for Hurricane Harvey victims, and collect eyeglasses, hearing aids, and cell phones. At the event end Lions collected food donations from vendors and took them to SARC.
